Blueberry Behind Bars

Blueberry was charged for Birdlery
I got a collect call the other day and decide to pick it up while on my way to work. As I answered, all I heard was erratic bird chirping.  While I heard these sounds, I remembered that Blueberry told me she was going out with her friends Pauly the Parrot and Belle the Bluejay to see One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.  What I didn't know then was their ulterior motive. It turns out that Pauly and Belle were some bad eggs.

I was able to understand a few words from the harsh cry of chirping. What Blueberry told me was, "Help, I'm in the downtown police station. I was accused of birdlery!!"

As I rushed to the station to get Blueberry home safe, I realized that she isn't a little chick-a-dee anymore. After the $350 bail, that she will pay for in chores, I took her home. She relaxed a bit and told me the full story. Pauly and Belle coaxed her into going to Five Feathers Discount Store before the movie to take some snacks. She knew in the back of her mind that it was a bad idea but also knew Pauly would be upset if she didn't since he did it last time. Blueberry reluctantly went in, grabbed the snacks and flew as fast as she could out of the store. Just when she thought she was in the clear, the store the manager came over and called the police. They chased her several blocks and, with the help of some stool pigeons, found her hiding in the park.

Birdlery is a crime and should not be treated lightly. She needed to learn her lesson, so I gave her some time in solitary. Now she's singing the blues.
